Lets get the FA Cup Final party started!

At 4:45pm on Saturday 14th May, Craig Pawson will blow the whistle, and the 2021-2022 FA Cup Final will be underway.  Whether your blood runs blue or red, or you’re simply tuning in for the magic that is football, it’s set to be a fantastic match.

Football games of any sort, but especially these pivotal finals, are a great excuse to get people together.  After years of lockdowns and social distancing, many of us don’t need much in the way of an excuse, so even if you’re not a huge football fan, why not jump on the bandwagon anyway?

Here are our top tips for creating the perfect FA Cup Final Party in your own front room.

#1 It’s all about the TV …

There’s absolutely no point in getting everybody over to watch the game if they don’t have something to watch it on.

Now, we’re not suggesting you go out and buy a bigger screen TV especially for the occasion, though, if you’ve been looking for an excuse to upgrade, this seems like as good a one as any.  Instead, bear in mind what you have to offer when it comes to viewing, and ensure that it’s practical for the space you’re using and the number of people you have coming over.

Is it worth looking into using a projector?  Will you need to put the TV in a different room to create more space?  Make sure you pay attention to what channel the game will be televised on, and ensure you have access to that!  The last thing you want is to find out it’s not on something you’re actually able to stream.

That’s not going to make you the most popular person in the room!

#2 … and quite a lot about the snacks

Whilst you can’t watch a game without a TV, it’s also strictly forbidden to do so without snacks.  It’s in the Magna Carta.

Nobody wants to be tucking into a full sized meal, but make sure there are plenty of nibbles on hand, that are easy to grab and eat whilst sitting or standing up.  Popcorn, crisps and peanuts are typical staples of the FA Cup Final, so make sure you buy in bulk in advance.  A quick shop on Saturday morning may leave you looking at empty shelves.

If the weather’s looking good, you might want to consider a pre-match BBQ.

#3 Create an atmosphere

Admittedly, nothing is going to come close to replicating the atmosphere of actually being there – but that doesn’t mean you can’t give it a try.

Decorations in the form of coloured balloons are a great way to go, but if you really want to make an impact, and are a passionate football fan, then why not consider an epic football mural?  With both Chelsea FC murals featuring Stamford Bridge and three different wallpaper murals to choose from featuring Anfield, you can’t go wrong!

Whilst decorating a room immediately before the final may be a tall ask, our wallpaper murals feature many top flight football teams, and are perfect for creating a feature in a man cave, den or bedroom.
